Quando Corpus Morietur

Quando Corpus Morietur

Quando corpus morietur, "when the body shall die." The title is the question the whole show asks. This is a hero's journey told at full dramatic weight: the call to adventure arrives, and with it the choice that every hero has to face. Do they take up the challenge, or turn away? The show lives inside that struggle, the doubt, the fear, the reckoning with what answering the call might cost, before the hero finally commits and steps forward into the unknown. And then the question the title has been holding all along: do they live, or do they die?

The production is dark, cinematic, and emotionally serious, built for an ensemble that wants to tell a real story with real stakes. Because the entire score is original, written specifically for the field, there are no arrangements to license, no clearances to chase, and no other program in the country performing this music. It is a show with genuine dramatic depth and a completely clean rights slate, yours to perform with nothing standing between you and the field.

This show is rated Medium-Advanced, which lines up with a concert grade of roughly 2.5 to 4.5. That's an approximation. A featured soloist or small ensemble moment can sit toward the top of that range, while full ensemble sections built around visual impact stay lighter on the musical demand.

The rating leans almost entirely on rhythmic and technical difficulty. Keys and meters are chosen to stay band-friendly and to line up with the phrasing the drill needs, and instrument ranges sit inside the grade window rather than pushing its edges.

This show is entirely original. No permissions or licensing are required.
